Perlman sat down with EW on his last day of shooting to reflect on his bloody six-season tenure on Sons. Yeah, I got a heads-up. That moment when Clay and Gemma [Katey Sagal] exchange a final look before Jax fires the fatal shot…what was Clay thinking?
I always loved you. You think Gemma still loved Clay? Dude, he beat her to a pulp last season! I like to point out to everybody that she shot me. She pulled a gun and shot at my head. She got me into a corner and then f—ing pulled a gun and shot me because I refused to engage with her about something she needed to control. None of the gangsters speak like James Bond villains while none of the protagonists give passionate speeches like Jordan Belfort.
However, the show makes up for this by making use of unique terms. It's understandable to be confused when a character is said to be on the lam, or when someone is going to meet Mr. While most of the terms are unique to the show, real-life motorcycle clubs tend to use special slang too. Most of the practices by the charters in the show are influenced by real-life clubs too. This refers to a mission by the Sons to protect a shipment or truck that is likely to be targeted by robbers.
Most gun shipments normally require protection runs. He is said to own a company named Unser Shipping. Through it, he transports goods to Latin American countries. When he declares his intentions to retire, the Sons hold on to one of his shipments in order to arm-twist him into staying in office so that he can keep on protecting them. A Crow Eater is a woman who often hangs around the clubhouse of any Sons Of Anarchy charter whenever the members are partying.
Crow Eaters normally hope to become romantically involved with one of the club members. Several unnamed Crow Eaters have been seen throughout the series. Perhaps the most notable one is Cherry. She is said to have been a Crow Eater for 3 years before the start of the series. In Season 1, she takes up an interest in the Prospect Half Sack.
Sadly, their love life turns out to be chaotic. Clay sleeps with her in order to annoy Half-Sack. And a short while after they reconcile, Half-Sack dies.
Jax then makes his way to the courthouse, where he has one last encounter with the "Angel of Death," a homeless woman who has recurred during many morbid scenes over the show's six-season run. Jax meets the gang at the clubhouse, prepared to meet Mr.
Chibs, in turn, passes his vice president patch to Tig, whom Jax deems a "good choice. The men gather around and Chibs points the gun at Jax, but pulls off to the side at the last moment, shooting Happy in the arm instead. The club members share an emotional goodbye before watching Jax ride off for the last time.
Jax goes to the site of his father's death to talk to him one last time, confessing that the struggle to maintain the balance between his family and his club has overtaken him. A highway patrol car spots him, and Jax takes a few shots at the cop before riding off with the officer in pursuit, calling for backup.
More and more highway patrol cars and bikes begin to tail Jax as we see the police taking away Gemma's body, the club members solemnly mourning their departed leader and Jax's eldest son Abel, worrying a "SONS" ring as he rides in the car with Nero and Wendy.
Finally, Jax sees his opportunity as a semi-truck -- driven by "The Shield" actor Michael Chiklis -- approaches. He pulls into the oncoming lane and lifts his arms from the handlebars, determined to go out just like his father.
The final shot? A few crows on the side of the highway pick at a piece of wine-soaked bread, as blood flows across the pavement.
